Business Intelligence Developer

Description

We seek an experienced Business Intelligence Developer to analyze, plan, and develop our datawarehousing solution. Our environment is largely Websphere, Oracle, and Linux/Unix.

Work Location

Responsibilities
  • Create initial load of the data warehouse using data extracts based on a pre-existing data model
  • Create updates to overlay existing data via data extracts (daily, weekly, monthly, etc.)
  • Design and develop a data source where aggregated data is stored
  • Install Pentaho software to create a web-based reporting environment
  • Work with the Application team to set up security and other parameters
  • Create reports using Pentaho 
Required Skills and Experience
  • 2+ years of experience with Pentaho development or similar toolset
  • 3+ years of experience with Oracle databases
  • Familiar with Oracle database tool, TOAD
  • Proficient with database transactions in Oracle and SQL Server using SQL
  • Familiar with Websphere, jBoss, Tomcat
  • Familiar with Linux
  • Experience working with the ETL process
  • Java experience, and experience with J2EE
  • Experience in data architecture and data modeling
  • Experience managing remotely distributed design and implementation teams
  • Thorough knowledge of software development life cycle
  • Proven ability to provide realistic effort estimates

Job Purpose

The Client Executive is responsible for generating and developing relationships, and closing new business in the Insurance industry. The Client Executive will sell and convert Exigen strategic opportunities by calling on senior-level executive contacts within the client company. The employee is expected to be comfortable selling financial and ROI oriented business solutions at executive and "C" level.

Responsibilities
  • Plan sales strategy and coordinate sales efforts to successfully win target accounts
  • Work with Marketing and Insurance Solutions Group in planning and executing sales campaigns
  • Assist Marketing and Product Management in identifying optimal solutions for target markets and provide input into the content for customer and prospect demonstrations
  • Use business expertise and market knowledge to reinforce Exigen's position in the marketplace by providing input into solution-specific marketing collateral
  • Understand and translate customer expectations and ensure coordination of project resources with Professional Services, provide on-going sales input and control throughout implementation
Requirements
  • Success in the sales environment and a proven domain expertise
  • 8-12 years industry related sales experience, preferably working for companies such as CSC, Accenture (P&C Claims), CGI, FiServ, Fineos, Guidewire, Insurity, TiG/Huon
  • Excellent communication skills

Job Purpose

Experienced insurance business analyst required to implement large-scale enterprise software applications for the property and casualty insurance industry. Business analysts work as part of our onsite implementation team and play the lead role in educating the customer team about the capabilities of our applications, identifying specific customer requirements, and identifying how those requirements can best be met using our applications.

Requirements
  • 5 to 10 years experience in the Insurance industry focused with background either as an analyst/technology employee of an Insurance company or having acted as a consultant providing services to Insurance companies
  • Three years experience at a property and casualty (P&C) Insurance company
  • Experience working closely with one or more software applications
  • Experience gathering and documenting business requirements for a software project
  • Ability to understand complex business process
  • Consulting skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with excellent analytical and problem-solving ability
  • Travel approximately 40%, domestically and/or internationally
Responsibilities
  • Educating customer audiences about Exigen applications

Product Manager – Insurance

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Help develop the Insurance industry segment strategy to address key industry challenges to guide innovations on the solution roadmap
  • Design and specify requirements for solution frameworks and incremental solution enhancements leveraging Exigen's capabilities
  • Drive feature function analysis to prioritize solution roadmaps
  • Provide the scenarios for product demos and "flash" presentations
  • Conduct competitive analysis and help develop marketing strategy
  • Participate in customer engagements as necessary
  • Provide guidance during deployment of a solution as the subject matter expert (SME)
  • Work with corporate marketing to identify, validate, package, position and promote solutions
  • Work with business development on activities that support the partnerships and utility creation
  • Work with the sales organization as a SME, in support of their sales activities in account planning, sales presentations and RFP responses
Requirements
  • 5+ years minimum of relevant Insurance industry experience, including the understanding of the key business drivers, business processes and business process automation for the segment
