"Smarter and Faster": INN and Celent  2009 VIP Best Practices Award Goes to AIU Private Client Group and Exigen

Exigen Insurance implementation considered a "text-book example of operational efficiency"

Inline ImageCiting "results that are profound and far-reaching," Insurance Networking News and Celent analysts awarded this year's Vanguards in Insurance Practices (VIP) First Place Winner for Best Practices to Private Client Group, a unit of AIU Holdings, and Exigen Insurance Solutions.  The annual award recognizes an insurance carrier as a "visionary" for use of technology.

Insurance Networking News editors described Private Client Group as a “text-book example of operational efficiency. It has transformed its disparate, dated technologies into a streamlined, web-services infrastructure with help from Exigen Insurance Solutions."

The award, which called for an ACORD standards-based implementation, was presented by John Kellington, SVP, ACORD, who described it as "a dramatic illustration of the measurable value ACORD standards provide insurers looking to improve business results.”

California Gets Pay-Drive; Sets Pace of Wider Adoption
August 4 -- The California Department of Insurance has released a new draft of its Pay-As-You-Drive (PAYD) regulations, after receiving dozens of comments from consumer groups, the insurance industry and other invested parties. Exigen Insurance Solutions was among the contributors and detailed the characteristics of "trust-based" non-telemetry options to the Commission.  The regulations, expected to go into effect in the Fall, pave the way for non-telemetry and limited telemetry-based PAYD products. Notably, they effectively deal with the question of acceptable notification of lapse of insurance on mileage-based policies.
